New in Matchd: a cleaner Matches home
The first screen in Matchd should answer one question: is there a good game for me near me? Version 1.0.29 rebuilds the Matches home around that question.
What's new
- Games near you, at a distance you choose. Pick how far you'll go and Matchd shows the games in range.
- Sort your way. Sort by best match (how well a game fits your level), closest or soonest.
- Upcoming only shows games that are still on, so canceled games don't clutter your list.
- Courts filters only show distances that add courts, so every option changes what you see.
- Your direct messages and groups always show in your inbox.
- Location sharing in a game chat stops cleanly, and your shared location is erased as soon as sharing ends.
- Permissions are asked only when you use something that needs them.
- Age range at sign-up. New players choose an age range, and players under 18 have some limits for their safety.
Why we built it
The old home made you dig for the one thing you opened the app for. Most players want a game this week, within a drive they're willing to make, with people near their level. Now that's the first thing you see, and "best match" puts the best fits on top.
How to try it
- Update Matchd to version 1.0.29 from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the Matches tab.
- Set your distance, then switch the sort between best match, closest and soonest.
