Blandair Regional Park: six lighted courts in Columbia
Blandair Regional Park is one of Howard County's newest places to play pickleball, and with lights it's one of the best evening options in Columbia.
The courts
The county's June 2026 update lists six lighted, dedicated pickleball courts in Blandair's West area in Columbia. They were built as part of the park's Phase 6 project, which broke ground in September 2024 and also added a 15,000-square-foot skatepark, two lighted basketball courts, walking paths and more than 100 parking spaces. The county has said more phases are planned for the park's east side.
How play works here
Expect drop-in play: first come, first served when the courts aren't in use for county programs, with a rotation at busy times. Lights make weekday evenings a good bet after the clocks change. New to drop-in play? Read how open play works.
Good to know before you go
- Lighted courts fill up on weekday evenings, especially in spring and fall.
- It's a busy, multi-use park. With the skatepark and basketball courts nearby, evenings can be lively, and parking can fill.
- Check the county page for programs or events that may be using the courts.
